For making 3G Services in Indian market Bharti may be one of first Company.Planing to launch of iPhone 3G version this month.If they launch successfully their revenues will increase.
Again its depends on the post-paid subscribers.
The iPhone 3G, has versions that start from $199 in the US for a memory capacity of 8 GB and combines the features of iPod, mobile-phone and Internet packed into a single phone.
In Indian Market the price is not yet decided.
Vodafone also planing to launch the 3G services through iPhone in India.
For providing 3G services through iphone bharti will cannibalise on high-end phones such as BlackBerry, also offered by it. The 3G service is likely to be on a revenue-sharing model, profit margins on this may have to be shared too.
At present Bharti gaining 9.7 per cent of its revenues from non-voice services, SMS and ringbone downloads. If they launch successfully 3G services through iphone in india there revenue will go very high.
Bharti has an EDGE (evolution data rates for GSM evolution) network that will be able to support this iPhone technology.
